Hey Y'all,
When I began contemplating starting a blog. I wanted it to encompass all of who we are and what we find important. I decided that to do that we have to introduce ourselves to you, first. Am I right? Who is going to want to read some blog that they don't have an emotionally connection with? My goal in writing this blog is to make you apart of our family and a part of our journey. I wanted to start journaling but I am not the greatest with setting aside time to write in a notebook or diary. I decided I wanted something electronic, something that I could go back and look at. So, here I am writing down my latest thoughts and impressions on our journey as a family.
When we journal, it allows us to express our greatest feelings and share our experiences. President Spencer W Kimball said, " Begin today and write in your journal your coming and goings, your deepest thoughts, your achievements, and your failures, your associations and your triumphs, your impressions and your testimonies." So, I have taken it upon myself to keep this electronic journal. This will allow me to reflect on our blessings and trials, but may also be an opportunity for y'all to learn and grow with us.
So without further ado, let me introduce ourselves! We are the Moore's, we recently got married. We have enjoyed our dating and courtship, but I think married life is a lot more fun. Not only because I get to spend time with my best friend but I don't have to say goodbye at night, it's just goodnight.
Brandon is my husband. He is a wonderful, handsome man who treats me like a queen. He enjoys doing manly things such a working on his farming hobby, house projects, and taking care of his lawn. You can often find him at Lowe's and Home Depot admiring tools. If I could describe Brandon in one word, it would be selfless. He serves constantly and is always the first one to lend a helping hand. He loves God and his family. His goal is to become a higher level engineer/manager and to take his farming hobby to the next level.
I'm Mikenzie and I would describe myself as shy at first, but once you get to know me I can't stop talking. I love to do all the things but mostly I love to cook and bake, read books, watch movies or TV shows (Hallmark is my favorite), I enjoy exercising and finding ways to improve myself daily. My favorite color is pink and I don't think I'll ever grow out of it. I taught elementary school for two years and knew it wasn't for me, so I am currently in Nursing school while working full-time as a medical receptionist. I love my job and what it has afforded my family. When I'm not working, you can often find me in Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, or shopping at a local store. My husband would say I'm a fashionista. Most of all ,I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who has afforded and blessed me with all that I have. We can't wait to see what the future has in store for us.
Much Love,
The Moore's
